Leader of Learning Area – Social Sciences Full time, Permanent Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher Social sciences Onehunga High School is seeking an experienced and motivated curriculum leader to lead our social science learning area. The successful candidate will provide strategic and instructional leadership within the social science learning area, supporting staff development, overseeing curriculum and assessment practices, and continuing to raise achievement through evidence-based pedagogy. We are seeking a leader who: Has strong subject expertise in the social sciences and a sound understanding of NCEA and curriculum leadership. Demonstrates a proven ability to lead a team and build teacher capability. Models excellent pedagogical practice and is committed to ongoing professional growth and innovation in teaching and learning. I s committed to raising academic achievement and using data to inform decision-making. Actively upholds the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and promotes inclusive and equitable education.
