Job Description
About the Company A large, well-established New Zealand business with a substantial operational footprint and a long-standing position in its market. They are midway through a significant transformation programme that will reshape how a core part of the operation runs, and they are now looking for a Senior Project Manager to carry it through to the finish. Description This is an 18-month fixed-term appointment to lead the delivery and completion of a major business transformation programme. The programme structure, governance and delivery foundations are already in place, so this is not a set-up role. It is a role for a Senior Project Manager who can sustain momentum, hold a complex delivery plan together, and land the agreed business, operational and financial outcomes on time. You will lead a dedicated internal team while coordinating multiple vendors, workstreams and senior stakeholders across business, technology and finance. Expect real complexity: ERP and finance process change, middleware and integration dependencies, competing priorities, and vendors who need to be held to account. Expect equally that you will be backed to make the calls required to keep it moving. Key Responsibilities Lead assigned workstreams end-to-end through implementation, transition and closure Maintain the integrated delivery plan across milestones, dependencies, resourcing, budget and benefits Drive timely decisions, clear blockers and manage interdependencies across business, technology and vendor teams Own implementation readiness including cutover planning, operational transition, training and post go-live support Report accurately to executive stakeholders and governance forums on progress, budget, risk and delivery forecasts Identify, assess and actively manage risks, issues, assumptions and change impacts Coordinate third parties and hold vendors accountable to scope, quality, milestones and commercial commitments Manage programme budgets, forecasts and financial reporting, and support vendor commercial negotiations Provide direction, coaching and delivery discipline to the project team Key Skills & Experience Required Extensive senior project or programme management experience delivering complex, multi-workstream ERP or enterprise transformation Demonstrated experience managing multiple vendors and third parties in a complex delivery environment Commercial or finance background, or substantial experience delivering ERP finance solutions and working with finance processes, controls and reporting Exposure to supply chain, distribution or operationally complex environments is a real advantage Strong grounding in middleware, integrations and technically complex technology landscapes Comfortable in fast-paced, high-intensity transformation environments About You You are the person who pushes things through. You are outcome-focused, resilient and calm under pressure, and you are not fazed by a difficult conversation with a vendor or a senior stakeholder when delivery depends on it. You are pragmatic and hands-on, credible with both technical and business audiences, and comfortable making decisions in ambiguity rather than waiting for perfect information. You take shared ownership of outcomes, and you bring the team with you. What’s In It For You The remuneration guide is $180,000 to $220,000, reflecting the seniority and intensity of the mandate. You will work directly with executive sponsors on a programme that has visible, board-level importance, giving you exposure and a delivery story that stands on its own. For a transformation specialist, an 18-month run at this scale with the foundations already in place is a clean, well-defined piece of work to own end-to-end. Benefits Salary guide $180,000 to low 200’s On-site parking Phone and laptop provided Direct access to executive sponsors and senior leadership Clearly defined 18-month mandate with real delivery autonomy #J-18808-Ljbffr
