Construction Project Manager

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Construction Project Manager role based in Hamilton. The Construction Project Manager will oversee end-to-end delivery of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of contractors, consultants, and stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing budgets and timelines, monitoring progress on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, and preparing regular project reports. The role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, identifying and resolving issues, managing risks and variations, and supporting procurement and contract administration. The Construction Project Manager will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality. Qualifications Strong skills in Construction Project Management and Construction Management, with experience overseeing medium to large-scale construction projects. Proficiency in Project Management and Project Coordination, including scheduling, stakeholder communication, and progress reporting. Competence in Budgeting and cost control, with the ability to manage financial forecasts, track expenditures, and support value engineering. Relevant tertiary qualification in construction management, civil engineering, project management, or a related discipline. Knowledge of New Zealand building codes, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and quality. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders on-site. Experience with project management software and MS Office; exposure to sustainable construction practices is an advantage.
