Lead day-to-day operations at our brand-new Drury Distribution Centre Develop a high-performing team and strong safety culture Drive productivity, stock flow and continuous improvement Lead day-to-day operations at our brand-new Drury Distribution Centre Develop a high-performing team and strong safety culture Drive productivity, stock flow and continuous improvement About The Role We’re looking for an experienced distribution or warehousing leader to join Briscoe Group as our Assistant Distribution Centre Manager, based at our new Distribution Centre in Drury. Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and cost-effective operations. You’ll oversee daily workflow, resource planning and stock movement while leading and developing a large operational team. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, understands what great DC performance looks like and is always looking for ways to improve. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role working 8.00am–4.30pm. What You’ll Be Doing Leading day-to-day Distribution Centre operations to achieve service, productivity and cost targets Planning labour, equipment and resources to meet changing operational requirements Overseeing the efficient flow, picking, staging and loading of stock Leading, coaching and developing team leaders and team members Monitoring performance and addressing issues quickly and effectively Driving a strong health, safety and wellbeing culture Identifying and implementing process and productivity improvements Maintaining accurate reporting, records and stock integrity Working closely with internal teams, freight providers, suppliers and external partners What You’ll Bring Three to five years’ experience in a senior warehousing, distribution, FMCG or retail operations role Proven experience leading large operational teams Strong planning, organisational and analytical skills The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment A practical, hands‑on leadership style Strong communication and stakeholder management skills A continuous improvement mindset and confidence challenging existing processes Experience with inventory or warehouse management systems would be an advantage A logistics or supply chain qualification would be beneficial About Us Briscoes Homeware and Rebel Sport are two of New Zealand’s most recognised retail brands.
