Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Senior Fire Alarm Technician role based in Auckland. The Senior Fire Alarm Technician will install, program, test, and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems in commercial and residential buildings. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing system inspections, diagnosing and repairing faults, completing preventive maintenance, and ensuring systems comply with relevant codes and standards. The role involves interpreting technical drawings, collaborating with engineers and project managers, and preparing accurate service reports and documentation. The technician will also provide clear, professional communication to clients, support junior team members with training and guidance, and respond to service calls and urgent issues as required. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in low voltage engineering and related electrical systems relevant to fire alarm installations. Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing, isolating, and resolving issues in fire alarm and associated low voltage systems. Extensive hands‑on experience with fire alarm systems and life safety equipment, including installation, testing, and maintenance. Proven customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients, occupants, and stakeholders on technical and safety matters. Relevant trade qualification, certification, or licensing for fire alarm work (or equivalent practical experience); knowledge of local building and fire codes in Auckland and New Zealand. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and compliance documents; strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Capacity to work independently on‑site, manage workload and priorities, and support or mentor junior technicians when needed. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites within the Auckland region; ability to meet physical requirements of on‑site work. #J-18808-Ljbffr
