Clinical Nurse Specialist - Diabetes

About the Role We are looking for an experienced senior registered nurse who, has a passion for diabetes, and preferably is a Registered Nurse prescriber for a fixed term 12 month position commencing November 2026. You will be running your own nurse-led clinics for people with diabetes aged 15 and over, predominantly Type 1 but also some with complex Type 2 Diabetes. The position will be based in Hamilton with travel to community clinics. You will be required to provide diabetes education, to patients and their whanau, other health care providers, and assist with insulin pump training courses for your patients locally. About the Team/Service Te Whatu Ora Waikato Regional Diabetes Service provides secondary level care to those within the Waikato Region. This expands as far as Coromandel, Taumarunui, Te Kauwhata and the Raglan coast. We have a large multi-disciplinary team and promote a positive approach to teamwork.
