We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our Group Operations teambased in Christchurch.Reporting to the Procurement Transformation Manager, this role will play a key part in advancing procurement capability, driving commercial value, strengthening supplier performance, and supporting procurement transformation initiatives across the business. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who combines strong commercial acumen with a passion for continuous improvement, data-driven decision making and creating sustainable value across a diverse supplier portfolio. About the role As Procurement Specialist,you'llwork closely with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver strategic procurement outcomes that create measurable financial and non-financial value. You'lllead procurement projects from end to end, support procurementgovernanceand reporting frameworks, and help embed best-practice procurement processes that improve visibility, efficiency, compliance, and supplier performance. Your key responsibilities will include: Leading procurement activities and sourcing projects across a range of categories Conducting spend analysis, market research, and category reviews toidentifyopportunities Managingsourcing and contractprocessesfrom development through to evaluation and contract award Supporting supplier relationship management,performancereviews andservice level agreements Assistwith developing reporting dashboards that support informed decision making Identifyingopportunities for automation and digital procurement improvements Contributing to procurement governance, policies,frameworksand business planning About you You'llbe a proactive and commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys influencing outcomes and delivering tangible business value. To be successful in this role,you'llbring: At least 5 years' procurement experience Strong knowledge of procurement methodologies, sourcing practices,supplier managementand governance frameworks Demonstrated success negotiating contracts,delivering measurable procurement savingsandimproving supplier performance Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights Excellent stakeholder engagement,influencingand negotiation skills Experience developing business cases,reportsand recommendations for senior stakeholders Knowledge of procurement governance,complianceand best-practice frameworks Understanding of sustainability,healthand safety, and ESG considerations within procurementalong with advanced Microsoft Office skills A relevant tertiary qualification and experience with category management principles will be highly regarded.
