Job Description

Land Matters is a growing multidisciplinary consultancy delivering Civil Engineering, Surveying, Planning, Project Management and Property Advisory services across a diverse range of land development and infrastructure projects throughout the region. Based in Ōtaki, the team combines technical expertise with a practical, collaborative approach, helping shape communities through high-quality development and infrastructure solutions. With continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, an opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate or Senior Civil Designer to join the team. The Opportunity Working closely with Engineers, Surveyors and Project Managers, you'll play a key role in the design and delivery of land development and three waters projects from concept through to construction. You'll utilise advanced 12d and AutoCAD skills to produce high-quality designs while also supporting survey, drone and digital engineering activities across a variety of projects. This role offers exposure to subdivisions, earthworks, roading, stormwater, wastewater and water supply infrastructure, along with modern technologies including drone surveying, machine control and digital modelling. Key Responsibilities Civil design and drafting using 12d and AutoCAD Land development, subdivision and infrastructure design Stormwater, wastewater and water supply design Earthworks and roading design Preparation of engineering drawings, models and construction documentation Assisting with topographical and as-built surveys Drone data capture and processing using Propeller and Pix4D software Supporting GPS machine control and digital construction workflows Coordination with clients, councils, contractors and project stakeholders Supporting project delivery from concept through to construction About You: You’ll Be An Experienced Civil Designer Or Civil Drafter Who Enjoys Working Collaboratively And Delivering Practical, High-quality Design Solutions.
