There are more than 2,700 Owners, a mix of individuals, Whānau Trusts and Kaitiaki Trusts, all descended from the original Owners. The Trust is a kaitiaki for ancestral taonga and manages complex business interests in the food and energy sectors, with assets valued at approximately $1 billion. This newly established senior leadership role will be responsible for the strategic direction and operational performance of Tūaropaki’s significant energy investments across power generation, steam supply and network infrastructure. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Head of Energy will have direct accountability for the performance of our energy portfolio, while also helping identify future opportunities and build strong relationships across the energy sector. We are looking for an experienced energy professional with strong commercial capability, sound knowledge of the electricity market and regulatory environment, and ideally geothermal experience.
