As a Kitchen Assistant at Wakari Hospital , you will help deliver quality catering services in a healthcare environment. This role supports with all aspects of our busy café operation, including making coffees, serving customers, food preparation, and keeping the café running smoothly. This is a fixed-term position to cover maternity leave until 20 May 2027. Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am – 1:00pm Assist with preparing, portioning, and presenting food for daily service. Deliver warm, friendly, and professional customer service to patients, staff, and visitors. Maintain clean and hygienic kitchen and dining areas, including dishwashing, cleaning equipment, and handling waste. Support specialised healthcare food service, including awareness of dietary restrictions, modified diets, and patient food preferences. Follow all food safety, infection control, health & safety, and company procedures at all times. Previous barista experience and confidence making quality coffees is a MUST.
