The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by proactively identifying, qualifying, and converting domestic and international group business opportunities. Approximately 80% of the role focuses on group business, with the remaining 20% dedicated to TMC and leisure wholesale business. The role involves generating high-quality leads, building strong client and partner relationships, and collaborating with sales and operations teams to convert inquiries into confirmed business. The ideal candidate is results-driven, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple accounts and segments in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibility Areas Account Management Act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, building strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key decision-makers. Maintain regular communication and structured check-ins to understand client needs, upcoming opportunities, and evolving business priorities. Position the company portfolio of brands as a preferred partner by delivering consistent service, strong product knowledge, and proactive account support. Drive revenue growth by proactively identifying, qualifying, and developing business opportunities, with approximately 80% focus on group business and 20% on TMC and leisure wholesale business. Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expanding market share within existing accounts and key market segments. Generate high-quality leads through active prospecting, market engagement, sales calls, and participation in industry events. Execute account-specific sales strategies and action plans aligned with individual account objectives and overall market priorities. Coordinate contract renewals and negotiated agreements, supporting retention strategies that support long-term account growth and client loyalty. Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally, escalating when necessary to ensure timely and effective resolution. Represent company brand professionally in client interactions and maintain awareness of competitor activity, market conditions, and customer needs to inform account strategies. Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activities, account interactions, and pipeline updates in Salesforce. Ensure CRM data, forecasts, and activity reports are current, complete, and compliant with company reporting standards. Maintain an up-to-date Outlook calendar reflecting meetings, sales calls, events, and travel commitments. Manage expenses and submit required documentation accurately and within established timelines. Actively participate in required meetings, conference calls, and internal forums with professionalism and preparation. Collaborate effectively with internal company stakeholders to support account, territory, and business priorities. Comply with all company sales standards, policies, and governance requirements. Demonstrate flexibility to work non-standard hours and support reasonable ad-hoc business needs as assigned. Analytical & Commercial Responsibilities Analyse account activity and performance to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement. Monitor account and market performance using Salesforce and internal reporting tools to track pipeline health, trends, and results. Evaluate individual performance using relevant commercial indicators, revenue reporting, and contribution metrics. Continuously refine account strategies based on performance insights, client feedback, market dynamics, and changing business needs. Prepare and present performance updates, insights, and recommendations to internal stakeholders to support informed decision-making. Requirement: Maintain a professional appearance appropriate for all sales calls, meetings, and events, consistently reflecting company brand standards. Guidance may be provided by the line manager as needed. When traveling or attending meetings with a line manager or colleagues, ensure personal vehicles are clean, tidy, and representative of company brand's professional image. Comply with all company policies and guidelines related to the use and care of company-issued equipment. Ensure the ability to store sales collateral and equipment in a secure, accessible, and weather-appropriate location to support field-based activity. Demonstrated experience working within the New Zealand market, ideally with established customer relationships. Ability to work independently and in a self-motivated manner in an in-market role while reporting to a regional headquarters based in Singapore. Required skills: 3-5 years of experience in hospitality or travel industry sales, account management, or business development Familiarity with group, TMC and leisure wholesale business preferred Proven ability to generate, manage, and convert sales opportunities across multiple market segments Strong selling, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels Skilled in building and maintaining professional relationships through in-person meetings, email, video conferencing, and phone Professional-level proficiency in spoken and written English, with excellent communication skills, professional appearance, and a polished demeanor Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-oriented, with strong personal accountability Solid analytical skills to assess performance and identify revenue growth opportunities Highly organized with strong administrative, time-management, and multitasking capabilities Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, WebEx, and Zoom Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system Remote role, requiring a high level of independence and effective self-management Flexible working hours and willingness to take on additional or ad-hoc responsibilities as reasonably required #J-18808-Ljbffr
