Healthcare Assistant Operating Theatre Suite, varied FTE available An exciting role within the Operating Theatre suite delivering quality patient care and resource support to aid patients journeys from preop, intraoperative and post operative phases. Our Theatre Healthcare Assistants work exclusively within the Theatre suite, in a dynamic, environment. About the Role This Healthcare Assistant position available is in the Operating Theatre Suite. You will be joining a hardworking and supportive team, who are flexible, deliver optimal patient care throughout their perioperative journey. We are welcoming applications from competent and professional practitioners who would like to enhance their knowledge and skills that are theatre specific. You will be providing care to patients attending theatre for a variety of procedures, so your flexibility will be challenged while you are delivering the highest level of quality care. About the Team/Service/Location Our team of HCAs work under the direction and delegations of RNs in the Operating Theatre Suite. We are currently building HCA knowledge and skill set to be within theatres to assist nursing staff. HCAs are a huge part of our Theatre team and are relied upon to for theatre efficiency, particularly out of hours. About you HCA qualification; level 3 minimum Experience working within a hospital setting is preferred Previous theatre experience is desirable Energetic, available to work rostered and rotating duties, keen to learn and grow Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
