Digital Design Teacher

Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.4, Start Date: 12/10/2026, End Date: 11/12/2026 (Specialist Subject restructure for 2027) Area / composite (Years 1–15), Certificated teacher Technology Hamilton Christian School is seeking a suitably qualified and passionate teacher to teach Digital Design to our Year 7–10 students in a fixed-term, part-time position (0.4 FTTE) for Term 4 2026 The successful applicant will have a focus on developing visual communication, digital literacy, and creative problem-solving skills.Grounded in a Design Thinking approach, this role involves guiding students through authentic design briefs using iPads, and digital tools like Canva, Adobe software (Illustrator, Express, Fresco), and Planner 5D. The successful applicant will build students' creative confidence as digital designers, scaffolding core skills in vector illustration, 2D/3D spatial design, typography, visual hierarchy, and user-centered design across junior secondary levels.Central to this role is integrating our Christian worldview, encouraging students to reflect biblical values, stewardship, purpose, and thoughtful story-telling through their creative briefs and design outcomes.
