Teacher of Health and Physical Education Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 21/09/2026, End Date: 11/12/2026 (This is a fixed term position to cover sabbatical leave.) Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher Health and physical education We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic health and physical education teacher to join our team on a fixed term basis until the end of the academic year. The successful applicant will deliver engaging health and physical education programmes, foster positve relationships with students and contribute to the wider life of school. Applicants for positions at Avondale College must be NZ registered teachers and will endorse the school’s academic priority as well as be expected to participate in the extensive co-curricular life of the school. The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $62,862 to $105,686 depending on applicants' qualifications and experience.
