Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Manager, Schools Partnerships to join the Student Recruitment Pathwaysteam on a permanent, full-time basis. This Wellington-based role is an exciting opportunity to strengthen the University's connections with secondary schools and help shape the future educational pathways of students across the region. Key responsibilities: Lead and deliver customised school engagement programmes that increase the University's profile and strengthen relationships with Wellington secondary schools. Use data, analysis and stakeholder insights to inform recruitment strategies and support enrolment growth. Drive the ongoing development, delivery and evaluation of the VicStart programme. Build collaborative partnerships across schools, faculties and professional services teams to identify and implement new recruitment opportunities. Provide strategic advice and contribute to projects that support the University's growth objectives and student recruitment goals. Ō pūmanawa - About you You are a highly skilled relationship builder and strategic thinker who is passionate about education and creating opportunities for future students. You bring a collaborative approach, thrive in complex stakeholder environments, and have a proven ability to turn ideas into successful outcomes. Key requirements: Extensive experience in student recruitment, marketing, business development, education, or a related field, preferably within the tertiary sector. Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, implementation, evaluation and reporting. Exceptional communication, influencing and stakeholder relationship management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to use insights and data to drive decision-making. A commitment to educational equity, student success, and the application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi in an educational context. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams simultaneously.
