Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role Our Communications and Engagement Team is one of the functions of the Enabling Services Directorate at the Treasury. The Communications and Engagement team plays a central role in connecting our work with our people, our stakeholders, and the public. We work closely with our agency counterparts to get to the heart of problems, understand options, and influence outcomes with a strong economic and financial perspective. Our work programme primarily centres on implementing communication plans, produce engaging content, and coordinate internal and external engagement activities. We’ve got big plans as a team to develop new and refresh existing communication and engagement channels so we're looking for someone who brings fresh thinking and innovative ideas to help drive meaningful impact and support the team's ongoing success. Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role In this role you will Develop and assist with communication strategies that align with the Treasury’s priorities. Produce high-quality content across various channels, including speeches, presentations, media releases, and social media. Play a key role in supporting communications activities across the team and the Treasury. Play a key role in supporting internal and external engagement activities. Collaborate across teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging. Ō pūmanawa | About You We’re looking for an Advisor who thrives on making a difference and delivering results. You will have Proven experience in delivering internal and external communications, including developing and implementing communication plans. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content for diverse audiences. Experience producing a range of content such as events, presentations, intranet stories, media releases, and social media posts. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Strong relationship management skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams. An awareness of, and commitment to, the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and inclusive, culturally responsive communication.
