Job Description

Primary and intermediate (Years 1-8) / kura tuatahi, Syndicate leader English, Mathematics and statistics 2 MU Pukekohe Intermediate School is seeking an experienced and motivated educator to join our leadership team as a permanent learning community leader. Applicants should have a minimum of five years' teaching experience, with leadership experience preferred. This role involves leading the teaching, learning and wellbeing across four classrooms, while continuing to teach in a Year 7 or Year 8 classroom. With Te Mātaiaho at the heart of our programmes, we are looking for an effective classroom practitioner who can lead quality teaching practice and improve outcomes for all ākonga. We are looking for someone who: Models and supports effective teaching practice, particularly in reading, writing and mathematics. Promotes culturally responsive teaching and inclusive practices that support the success and wellbeing of all ākonga. Uses assessment information to strengthen teaching, improve learner outcomes and support clear reporting to parents and whānau. Builds strong relationships with ākonga, staff and whānau, working in partnership with families in the best interests of their child. Brings skills, interests and enthusiasm that contribute to the wide range of extra-curricular opportunities we offer our ākonga.
