Year 5-6 Classroom Teacher Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 12/10/2026, End Date: 15/12/2026 (Board Funded Special Project- To reduce class sizes for 2026) Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts We are looking for an innovative and enthusiastic teacher for Term 4 2026. We are looking for a teacher who can motivate, stimulate and adapt their teaching for each learner. We have a wonderful school environment with fabulous resources, enabling teachers and learners to flourish. We want to see our students as active contributors in our local community, through being out in our wider community learning. The ideal candidate is flexible and passionate about connecting with our wider community and whenua. This fixed-term position will be for term 4 2026. We are looking for someone who: Is a team player who contributes to all aspects of life at a rural school. Is passionate about teaching across the curriculum, with strengths in Literacy and Numeracy. Has a passion for using the localised curriculum to enhance learning. Has excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
