What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga As an Automotive Technician with the AA, you will play a key role in delivering trusted vehicle servicing, repairs and inspections that keep our Members and customers safely on the road. Working within a supportive workshop team, you will use your technical expertise to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles while providing clear, professional advice and exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining AA quality and safety standards, building strong customer relationships, and staying up to date with evolving automotive technology and industry best practice. You will also contribute to the success of the business by identifying customer needs and recommending relevant AA products and services where appropriate. You will: Deliver vehicle servicing, repairs and inspections to AA quality and safety standards. Diagnose faults and provide accurate verbal and written reports. Keep customers informed about vehicle issues, recommended work and expected timeframes. Provide exceptional customer service in every interaction. Promote relevant AA products and services that support customer needs. Maintain a strong focus on health and safety and workshop best practice. Continue developing your technical expertise through ongoing learning and training. About You | Mōu You are a qualified Automotive Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer experiences. You enjoy solving problems, communicating technical information in a way customers understand, and working collaboratively as part of a professional team. With strong diagnostic and repair skills, you can confidently work across a range of passenger and light commercial vehicles. You embrace new technology, maintain high safety standards, and are committed to continuous learning and professional development. You will bring: A Level 4 Automotive Trade Qualification (or equivalent). At least three years' recent experience in the automotive industry. WOF authority preferred; COF-A would be an advantage. A clean Full New Zealand Driver Licence. Proven ability to service, repair and inspect passenger and light commercial vehicles. You have strong customer service and communication skills, are confident using workshop systems and technology, and take a professional, safety-focused approach with a commitment to quality workmanship.
