Part time, Fixed term, FTTE up to: 0.8, Start Date: 12/10/2026, End Date: 11/12/2026 (Restructure of specialist subjects for 2027) Area / composite (Years 1-15), Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Hamilton Christian School is seeking a suitably qualified and passionate Scale A teacher to join our junior secondary school in a fixed-term, part-time position (0.8 FTTE) for Term 4 2026, with a component of digital design. We are a co-educational Years 1-13 Christian school committed to nurturing students academically, socially and spiritually, and helping them reach their God-given potential. The successful applicant will be an innovative, creative and collaborative teacher who can deliver engaging digital design learning experiences for Years 7-10. The role will focus on developing students’ visual communication, digital literacy, creative problem-solving and Design Thinking skills through authentic design projects. Experience with digital design and technologies such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite and iPads would be an advantage. The ability to integrate a Christian worldview into learning and encourage students to explore creativity, purpose, stewardship and thoughtful storytelling is important.
