We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Risk Manager to join our Enterprise Data and Analytics Platform, focusing on Financial Crime. As a senior member of the team, you will be helping to champion data governance and risk management activities across impacting Financial Crime at ASB. Key Responsibilities: Support the Financial Crime Data Product Owner in prioritising and delivering key data risk, governance, and control outcomes across the financial crime Tribe Be a leading advocate for effective data governance and data risk management. Oversee data quality monitoring and completeness controls, ensuring effective reconciliation, control execution, and timely resolution of data issues. Support the effective function and operation of the data control environment for the Financial Control end-to-end process. Lead a team of Data Risk Managers, building capability, strengthening risk awareness, and fostering a culture of accountability for data governance and controls Manage relationships with key business stakeholders to understand and document their data needs. You will ideally be a self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills where your positivity and excellent communication skills enable you to share knowledge and learn from others while contributing to key outcomes for Financial Crime. Proven experience leading data governance, data quality, data risk, or control functions within a complex and highly regulated environment Banking, risk, regulatory, or Financial Crime domain experience is highly desirable. Strong understanding of data management practices, including data lineage, critical data elements, data quality monitoring, reconciliation, transformation, enrichment, and data pipelines. Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, elevate, and remediate data risks, control weaknesses, and data quality issues. Leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, and developing capability within teams while fostering a strong risk and control mindset Experience building and embedding effective data control frameworks and governance practices that support regulatory and business requirements.
