CNC Machinist – Lathe & Milling Experience One of our Engineering clients is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team. They are seeking someone with solid machining experience who is confident operating a range of CNC and conventional machinery and has experience machining a variety of materials. This role would suit a practical, skilled machinist who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. What they're Looking For Proven experience as a CNC Machinist Must be able to operate 4-Axis CNC milling machines Must be able to operate 5-Axis CNC turning machines with live tooling Must be able to operate CNC laser marking equipment Experience operating CNC lathes and CNC milling machines Confident operating manual/conventional lathes and milling machines Proven machining experience working with: Steel Stainless steel Brass Bronze Aluminium Plastics Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications Experience with machine setup, tooling and machining processes Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances Good understanding of measuring equipment and quality checks Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Commitment to workplace health and safety Reliable, hardworking and able to work well independently and as part of a team The Role You will be responsible for setting up and operating a range of CNC and conventional machining equipment to manufacture and repair engineering components. This will include operating 4-Axis CNC milling, 5-Axis CNC turning with live tooling, CNC laser marking, conventional lathes and milling machines . You will be machining components from a variety of materials, including steel, stainless steel, brass, bronze, aluminium and plastics , while ensuring the correct tooling, speeds, feeds and machining processes are used for each material. You will work from engineering drawings and specifications, select appropriate tooling, carry out machine setups, complete measurements and quality checks, and ensure finished components meet required tolerances and quality standards.
