Join an amazing team with a great culture Competitive hourly rate Wide range of career and personal development opportunities Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunity We're looking for someone to join our team on a Fixed term basis until 14 November 2026 , working across both our Distribution Centre and Invercargill retail store, working 20 hours per week. This is a flexible, hands‑on role, so you'll move between the DC and the store depending on where support is needed most. Responsibilities include: Operating a point of sale (POS) system and providing retail sales and customer service to our shareholders Receipting inwards goods and completing related administrative tasks in the DC Restocking and displaying our products Supporting the wider team across both sites as needed Mōhou ake | About you You'll bring flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to get stuck in wherever you're needed, including: Retail sales, customer service, or warehouse/receipting experience, ideally in a fast‑paced environment Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with a wide range of customers Sound computer skills, with confidence using point‑of‑sale systems and basic administrative tools The ability to carry out the physical requirements of the role, including regular manual handling and lifting and carrying items up to 25 kg (e.g. bags of stock such as dog food and farm supplies) A flexible, can‑do attitude and willingness to work across different sites and tasks as required Access to reliable transport to travel between sites (if this applies — let me know) Bonus points if you also have: A valid forklift licence Experience or background in the farming sector A current first aid certificate Mō ngā painga | About the benefits You'll be rewarded with: Sick leave from Day 1 Paid birthday leave Access to training through our online library, The Greenhouse Staff discounts at Farmlands Retail Stores Exclusive Farmlands shareholding offer providing access to a vast array of discounts with our Card Partners Additional support for parents Mō matou | About us At Farmlands Te Whenua Tāroa, New Zealand’s largest farming co-operative, we’re driven by three core values: Be You, Minds Open, and See It Through.
