We are seeking a highly effective, relational educator to join our school as our next deputy principal. This full-time teaching position includes responsibility for our Year 7-8 class and offers the opportunity to work alongside the principal in leading teaching and learning, supporting staff, and continuing to strengthen the positive culture of our school. The successful applicant will: Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a proven ability to engage learners and improve student outcomes. Be a confident educational leader who will contribute to the ongoing strategic direction of the school. Demonstrate strong curriculum, assessment, and pedagogical knowledge, using data to inform teaching and improve learner progress. Build positive, authentic relationships with students, staff, whānau, parish, and the wider community. Lead with integrity, warmth, humility, and a collaborative approach. Enjoy being a hands-on leader who actively supports colleagues, works in partnership with the principal, and contributes positively to all aspects of school life. Have a genuine passion for working with intermediate-aged students and preparing them for a successful transition to secondary school. Capabilities to maintain programmes and activities that reflect the special character of the school shall be a condition of appointment. Applicants who are practising Catholics and hold the appropriate qualifications and experience may also be considered for the director of religious studies role (1MU).
