Provide trusted, high-level executive support to senior leaders within Immigration New Zealand Opportunity to work at the heart of a dynamic and fast-paced business group 12-Month Secondment/Fixed Term opportunity Salary Range: $72, 869 - $81,848 + KiwiSaver Central Wellington based location We're looking for an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide confidential, high-level support to a General Manager within Immigration New Zealand. This is a pivotal role where you'll be responsible for ensuring senior leaders can effectively manage their priorities, make informed decisions, and deliver outcomes for New Zealanders. You will become a trusted partner to senior leadership, proactively managing workflows, coordinating key activities, and building strong relationships across the organisation. In this varied and rewarding role, you will: Manage complex diaries, schedules, meetings, and appointments. Coordinate domestic and international travel arrangements. Prepare high-quality briefings, correspondence, reports, and presentations. Manage sensitive and confidential communications with discretion. Track actions and follow up on key priorities and deliverables. Coordinate internal and external engagements, meetings, and events. Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across MBIE and external organisations. Support the development and continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes. Provide guidance and support to other administration staff where required. Skills and Experience Required Proven experience in a senior Executive Assistant or executive support role. Exceptional organisational and time management skills. Strong communication and relationship management capabilities. The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent judgement, initiative, and problem-solving skills. High levels of professionalism, integrity, and discretion. Experience working within the public sector is desirable. A collaborative approach and commitment to supporting team success. To be eligible for the role you will need to hold either a New Zealand citizenship or a New Zealand Permanent Resident visa.
