Early learning / kōhanga reo, Certificated teacher Learning languages, Te reo Māori, The arts, Belonging / Mana Whenua, Contribution / Mana Tangata, Communication / Mana Reo, Exploration / Mana Aotūroa, Well-being / Mana Atua Te Puna Kelston ELC is seeking an experienced and passionate toddler teacher to join our team. We are looking for a kaiako who values warm, responsive relationships and creates meaningful, play-based learning experiences where tamariki feel safe, valued, connected, and empowered to learn. Our practice is grounded in whanaungatanga, honouring the identities, languages, and cultures of our tamariki and whānau, while supporting children to develop confidence, independence, curiosity, and a strong sense of belonging. We are looking for a kaiako who: Holds a recognised ECE qualification and current Teaching Council registration. Has a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with toddlers. Builds respectful, genuine relationships with tamariki, whānau, and the wider community. Is passionate about culturally responsive practice and celebrates Māori and Pacific identities. Creates engaging, play-based learning experiences that encourage exploration and discovery. Is reflective, collaborative, and committed to quality teaching practice and teamwork. Māori or Pacific background is desirable as we continue strengthening connections with our diverse community and celebrating the cultures, languages, and identities of our tamariki and whānau.
