- 12-month Fixed Term (Sep 2026 - Sep 2027),based at Christchurch Health Campus \n

About the Role\nThe Radiology Services in Canterbury district provides patient centred care across multiple sites. We are a hardworking team who use professional knowledge and skills to ensure the provision of quality patient-centred radiographic imaging services.We currently have an exciting opportunity available for a rotational MIT to join us, working within an experienced and supportive team across our General X-Ray and Interventional Radiology services.
\nWe offer an amazing team, ultramodern facilities and a work/life balance that is second to none. General X-ray has 100+ staff and 25+ rooms spread across 3 main sites, and IR MITs work within a multidisciplinary team alongside Radiology Nurses and Interventional Radiologists, with 3 IR suites, a Hybrid OT and a CT Biopsy scanner, and an Ultrasound Biopsy room.
\nThis position will see you working 40hrs per week, in rostered shifts to be discussed at interview. Participation in an on-call roster is also required.
\nIn this role, you will be responsible for:

- Delivering quality patient-centred radiographic services which are efficient and effective for the needs of the patients and the service \n
- Effective documentation of procedures (where appropriate) \n
- The support and facilitation of quality indicators/programmes \n
- Supervision and clinical training of Medical Imaging Students, where appropriate \n
- Operate a CT Biopsy/Interventional scanner, a monoplane and Biplane IR systems and in the Hybrid Operating IR system \n
- Take responsibility for any equipment you are working with and reporting any breakdowns or equipment issues to the service engineers \n
- Act as a radiation safety advocate for patients and visiting staff \n
You are a skilled and patient‑focused Medical Imaging Technologist with experience in Interventional Radiology, who thrives in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment. You are motivated to deliver high‑quality, safe imaging services and contribute positively to a collaborative and culturally responsive team.
\nYour skills/ experience will include:

- At least 2-years' qualified, with proven experience in Interventional Radiology \n
- A strong commitment to patient-centred care, safety, and quality outcomes \n

- Well-developed organisational and time management skills \n

- Registered Medical Imaging Technologist with current Annual Practicing Certificate \n
