About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experiencedRegistered Nurse to join our Acute Orthopaedics team on Ward B4. You will work alongside an experienced multidisciplinaryteam committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a busy acuteenvironment. This role provides the opportunity to further develop yourorthopaedic nursing knowledge and skills while caring for patients with adiverse range of acute orthopaedic needs. You will be well supported in your professional development,with a dedicated Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialist providingclinical guidance, education and opportunities to grow your practice withinacute orthopaedic nursing. This role is a 0.8FTE (32 hours per week) fixed-termposition available due to parental leave from 23 rd November 2026 –22 nd May 2027. About the Service Ward B4 is a 32-bed Acute Orthopaedic ward based at ourWaipapa Building and is one of two acute orthopaedic wards within ChristchurchHospital Campus. Our experienced and supportive team works collaboratively toprovide excellent nursing care throughout each patient's journey, from acuteadmission through to recovery and discharge. About You You will be an enthusiastic and adaptable Registered Nursewho enjoys working as part of a collaborative team. You will bring strongcommunication and organisational skills, sound clinical judgement and a genuineinterest in acute orthopaedic nursing. Skills and Experience: At least three years'orthopaedic nursing experience is preferred Demonstrated ability towork both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication,interpersonal, time management and organisational skills Ability to adapt to abusy clinical environment and take a flexible, solution-focused approach Registered with theNursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual PractisingCertificate (APC) Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
