We are looking for an enthusiastic registered nurse to join our team. About the Role In the day stay we provide specialist treatments for a range of Haematology conditions including chemotherapy/immunotherapy and stem cell transplants, as well as providing acute care for our patients who become unwell in the community. We also work closely with the cancer and blood research team providing access to new and novel treatments for patients You will be given a full orientation and study days specific to our speciality and be supported by lots of assistance from our friendly, experienced staff as well as time with our nurse educator on the job. To be successful in this role, you'll be a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse who thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. You will bring: Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC) A minimum of two (2) years' experience in an acute hospital setting. Experience in Haematology and/or Oncology is highly desirable but not essential Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, whānau, and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds A caring, empathetic approach and a genuine commitment to providing patient-centred care Strong problem-solving abilities, sound clinical judgement, and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail Confidence using a range of computer systems and electronic health records A proactive approach to professional development, with a commitment to maintaining and enhancing your clinical knowledge and nursing practice Most importantly, you'll be passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and their whānau while contributing to a supportive and high-performing team.
