Job Title: Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Biosciences Department: School of Health Sciences (SHS) Location: Wellington Campus Closing Date: Sunday 13 September 2026, 11.00pm Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role In this role you will undertake, coordinate undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Health Science Bioscience courses using a variety of modes of delivery mediums including through electronic and online technologies. You will undertake an active and appropriate programme of academic research, including by contributing to or leading supervision of postgraduate student research. Key attributes for this position include knowledge and expertise in pharmacology, endocrine and neurophysiology, and pathophysiology. Ko koe tēnei | About you Applicants for Lecturer or Senior Lecturer are expected to: Have a PhD in Bioscience or related discipline Have teaching experience in internal, online, blended and distance teaching delivery Teach bioscience courses in Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Nursing and Master of Health Science Have teaching experience in internal, online/distance content design and delivery Demonstrate excellent teamwork and self-management skills Demonstrate research experience Have experience in teaching, supervising and assessing postgraduate students Have experience in supervising research students Have a research plan Have research publications This position falls within a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer Range 1 salary range. The agreed salary will consider the candidate's qualifications and experience. Salary Range : Lecturer - $86,113 - $109,901 Senior Lecturer Range 1 - $107,916 - $132,892 Mahi Ngātahi | Who you will work with Our programmes are offered nationally and staff you will work with are from School of Health Sciences across all campuses.
