About The Role Laminex Taupō is seeking Machine Operators for a 4-month fixed term contract opportunity with an IMMEDIATE START (PREFERRED) . This hands‑on role involves operating production plant equipment, supporting production, maintaining quality standards, and working safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role has rotating shifts: 4 days on and 4 days off - 2 days, 2 nights (an average of 42-hour week). To Succeed In This Role, You Will Have At least 1-2 years’ experience as a Machine Operator within a manufacturing environment (wood-based industry preferred) Demonstrated ability to operate, set up, and troubleshoot plant machinery Strong commitment to health & safety, teamwork, and quality standards Basic computer literacy, including Outlook, Word, and plant/system interfaces Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to learning, with the ability to quickly pick up new processes and apply technical knowledge in a hands‑on environment Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team Basic computer literacy, with the ability to navigate digital control systems. Physically fit, with the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces Class 1 Full Drivers Licence, and OSH Forklift Licence (advantageous) Trade qualification (advantageous) To ensure your and others safety, we do require pre-employment medical testing and a criminal history clearance.
