About the Role As a Health Care Assistant within Paediatric Services, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality care for infants, children, young people and their whānau. Working alongside nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical, technical and administrative support to help ensure patients receive compassionate, patient-centred care. About the Team/Service/ Location Our Paediatric Services team is committed to delivering high-quality, family-centred care to children and young people across Hawke's Bay. Based in Hastings, you'll join a supportive and collaborative environment where teamwork, respect and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do. About you As a Health Care Assistant, you will be caring, reliable and passionate about supporting children, young people and their whānau. A New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3) Health Assistance, be currently enrolled, or be willing to commence the qualification within 12 months of employment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships. A strong commitment to patient safety, quality care and confidentiality. The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team in a busy healthcare environment. A positive, flexible attitude and commitment to ongoing learning, development and continuous improvement.
