Job Description WT New Zealand continues to grow with high-profile new engagements landing with multi-national technology clients, leading to a new, Senior Quantity Surveyor role in the Data Centre team. With major projects underway and more in the pipeline, we’re on the lookout for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor that has ideally managed Data Centre projects or other similar mission-critical and complex sites. Ideally those with a real cost-engineer lens and those with electrical and mechanical backgrounds are highly sought. This role will perform various traditional quantity surveying functions including estimating, planning and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate and timely financial reporting whilst exercising sound financial acumen with a key focus on proactively maximising value for our clients. This role is responsible for: Complex Cost Engineering on mission-critical projects Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities Master-plan and feasibility budgets Cost checking of developing design Tender evaluations and analysis Cash flow projects Procurement Cost reporting Final account reporting Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims Investment analysis Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering Extensive experience in cost estimating and planning software/ Cost X Extensive experience in MEP and heavy services projects Demonstrated track record of winning and managing major projects Experience managing mission-critical projects or similar projects of complex design Additional information At WT, in addition to your competitive salary we offer many perks including: Paid professional memberships- support in gaining and supporting your membership costs for RICS and NZIQS Medical Insurance Carpark or Public Transport WT's balanced way of working When you're working from the office, you'll be in newly refurbished offices which supports flexible and activity-based working in a prime location with amazing views If you're keen to and advance and broaden your career within the Data Centre sector, this could be a great opportunity for you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
