Sick of being told there's 'no pathways for growth in this economy’? Then watching the office hire someone sweaty moron - from outside the organisation - to do the very role you wanted and know that you’d destroy at? Blah blah blah. The Real Reasons We are more supportive than that $200 patellar stabilising knee brace your physio sold you before he lost his business gambling. Our workload has more variety than those original Pizza Hut buffets. The ones that all had D-rated. 50/50 change you’d come out with food poisoning. Worth it. We are a highly-digital company, with modern tools and modern systems. No clipboards. No paper run-sheets. Any part of your job we can make easier with automation, we will (and likely already have) We have ultimate sparks on the team, with many years of knowledge. Feel like you’ve got knowledge gaps? We’ll fill those in like Selly’s Spakfilla Rapid We respect that you have a life outside of work (no forced O/T, no Sunday phone calls) We actually train people who want to grow. The Track 2 role especially, we’ll train you to get off the tools. Solar Training for the Track 1 spark will be this year. We come to work to have a laugh and mock the apprentice relentlessly. FAQ Q: Why is it called The Conduction Company? A: To find this out, you’ll need to go through our initiation ritual. It involves masks, robes, goats. That kind of thing. Its chill though. Q: Will I have to do call-outs at 11pm on a Tuesday? A: Hard no homie. Unless you’re into that sort of thing. In which case you’ll be paid handsomely, but it would be VERY rare. Q: How did you guys get to be so good at electrical work? A: A mixture of natural ability + most of us have been blessed in a week long ritual carried out by the Chukchi shamans of Siberia, which has really helped. Especially with RCD fault finding. Q: Track 2 sounds great but I'm not really a 'sales person.' Is that a dealbreaker? A: Not really. You definitely don’t need to be a greasy slick-back-hair car salesmen in a two piece. The role’s mostly estimating to begin with. BUT - you need to be a real human who can hold a phone conversation, and slide in a bit of friendly banter/humour, with the potential to sell. (we’ll be able to see the hunger in your eyes) Q: I heard one of your employees hooked himself into the national grid to become one with electricity? A: Yeah we don’t really speak about James anymore, after he transcended. That’s the level of dedication we are looking for though, so you know. Keep that in mind. Q: I would consider myself an OK sparky, not like - the best ever - but you know, pretty decent. Should I still apply? A: Hard no - sorry amigo, we are strictly looking to employ A-Players. You must be a killer sparky to hang with the best.
