Electrical Engineer - Project Delivery

As our New Zealand project portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for an Electrical Engineer - Project Delivery to join our Christchurch-based Engineering Team. This is a hands‑on role sitting at the intersection of engineering, project delivery and construction. Working closely with the Project Design Manager and wider project teams, you will help ensure electrical designs are practical, compliant and successfully implemented on site. The opportunity You will support the delivery of electrical engineering across utility‑scale renewable energy projects, covering HV, MV and LV systems from design through construction and commissioning. Key Responsibilities Include Electrical Engineering: Support the development, review and implementation of HV, MV and LV electrical designs for utility‑scale renewable energy projects. Project Engineering: Coordinate engineering deliverables, RFIs, technical queries, design changes and technical interfaces across projects. Construction Support: Work closely with site teams to resolve technical issues and ensure construction aligns with approved designs and specifications. Quality & Compliance: Support inspections, QA/QC, ITPs, non‑conformance resolution, commissioning and as‑built documentation. Procurement & Technical Support: Provide engineering input to equipment selection, procurement, supplier reviews and technical clarifications. Stakeholder Management: Work with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to deliver practical, compliant engineering outcomes. About you You Are An Electrical Engineer Who Enjoys Seeing Designs Become Reality And Working Closely With Project And Construction Teams. You Will Bring Electrical Engineering qualification with experience in electrical, project engineering or project delivery. Experience across utility‑scale solar, BESS, power generation or electrical infrastructure projects. Strong understanding of HV, MV and LV systems, with the ability to interpret and implement electrical designs. Knowledge of New Zealand electrical standards and regulatory requirements, with strong technical and problem‑solving capability. A collaborative, delivery‑focused engineer who can manage competing priorities and is willing to travel regularly to NZ project sites. Experience in grid‑connected renewable energy, utility interconnection, commissioning, QA/QC or electrical power system design software will be highly regarded. Why join INTEC?
