Job Description
Could you help inspire the next generation of people to get behind CBA? For more than 50 years, CBA has been finding creative ways to share the heart of the Christian faith in New Zealand’s mainstream media. We reach some of the country's biggest audiences through radio, podcasts and social media, alongside Media Chaplaincy, scholarships, prayer initiatives and relationships across NZ's media. None of it happens without people who believe in what we're doing and generously choose to support it. We're looking for a fundraiser to help us find, inspire and look after those people. This is fundamentally a people job . You'll talk with supporters, pick up the phone, visit donors, build relationships with churches, find potential new supporters and confidently invite people to give. You'll also help build the future of our fundraising. Our existing supporter base is wonderfully loyal, but we need to reach a new generation. We're looking for someone who understands that relationships today are built both around the kitchen table and online . Working alongside our creative and digital teams, you'll help develop campaigns across direct mail, email and social media, use data intelligently, find new opportunities, and tell CBA's story in ways that motivate people to get involved. You might already be an experienced fundraiser. Or you might come from sales, marketing, account management, communications, business development or another relationship-focused role. We're open-minded about your background. What's more important is that you're: a natural relationship-builder who genuinely enjoys people warm, confident and comfortable on the phone or face-to-face able to ask for money without feeling awkward about it motivated by targets and getting results a strong communicator, personally and in writing digitally savvy, with a good understanding of social media and online marketing organised, self-motivated and someone who makes things happen interested in data — what's working, what isn't, and what we should try next deeply motivated by CBA's Christian mission, vision and ethos. Fundraising experience would be valuable, but aptitude, energy and attitude matter more . If you're earlier in your career but have the right abilities, we'll happily teach you the fundraising craft. You’ll join a small, creative and collaborative team working from our beautiful new premises and studios in Mt Eden. It's a role with plenty of human interaction and a very tangible purpose: helping provide the resources that enable CBA to bring thoughtful, creative Christian faith into mainstream New Zealand. The role is preferably full-time, although we'd consider four days a week for an exceptional candidate. #J-18808-Ljbffr
