Archway is supporting a leading multinational employer that is recognised as a market leader in their sector who are looking for a Senior Management Accountant on a 12 month contract basis. You’ll be supporting a complex and dynamic business, where the finance team plays a key strategic role across the organisation. Despite operating within a large corporate environment, the team remains lean, creating genuine opportunities for individuals to gain broad exposure and make a meaningful contribution. The Role Responsibilities This is an exciting 12-month fixed term opportunity for an experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join a high-performing finance function during a period of change and transformation. Offering far more than traditional month-end reporting responsibilities, this role provides exposure across tax, forecasting, budgeting, analysis, finance operations and business improvement initiatives. You will partner with stakeholders throughout the organisation while also contributing to projects focused on automation, systems enhancement and finance transformation. Key responsibilities will include: Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting Forecasting and budgeting activities Divisional performance reporting and analysis GST, FBT and income tax compliance Cash flow reporting and analysis Balance sheet reconciliations and accrual management Supporting accounts payable and wider finance operations Regulatory and covenant reporting Group reporting and consolidations Board reporting and financial commentary Process improvement and automation initiatives Contributing to finance systems and transformation projects This role can be based in either Wellington or Auckland and offers a flexible hybrid working model. Role Requirements To be successful in this role, you will be a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys variety and can work autonomously within a fast-paced environment. You will ideally possess: CA qualification or equivalent Big 4 or mid-tier accounting background At least 3-5 years' post-qualified experience Strong financial and management accounting experience Exposure to budgeting and forecasting Tax experience, including GST, FBT and income tax Advanced Excel capability Strong systems aptitude and a passion for process improvement The ability to identify and implement automation opportunities What’s In It For You This opportunity offers exceptional breadth and exposure that is rarely found within a typical Senior Accountant position.
