Aboutthe Role The Registered Nurses on Ward 10 are involved in pre and post-operative care ofthe cardiothoracic patient, acute pain management with chest traumas, and ribfixation surgery. We also are involved in thecare of acute and elective cardiology patients who often require care pre andpost-procedures and education on the management of their heart disease. Youwill be well supported through our Nurse Educator and Clinical NurseSpecialists due to our wide variety of both medical and surgical skill sets. Aboutthe Service Ward10 is a 27-bed ward and is one of our combined medical and surgical wards whichspecialises in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiology. We care for patients whohave undergone either acute or elective cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiologyprocedures. AboutYou Experience in Cardiothoracic or Cardiology is essential Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Can work collaboratively with the widermultidisciplinary team Ability to work under pressure Excellent organisational and time management skillswith the ability to effectively and efficiently complete tasks Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously andcollaboratively with other professionals. The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solutionfocused.
