The joint venture ownership between Southern Cross Healthcare and Central Lakes Trust ensures leading clinical service delivery whilst maintaining a genuine focus to provide healthcare services closer to home for general population of Central Otago. As a Loans Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting our Theatre and Sterile Services teams by ensuring surgical loan sets, implants and consignment equipment are available, processed and managed efficiently to support patient care. Working closely with suppliers, theatre staff and clinical teams, you'll help ensure equipment is received, checked, tracked and returned in line with quality, infection prevention and sterilisation standards. You’ll be responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing loan equipment, liaising with suppliers to manage timeframes, reconciling inventory documentation, maintaining accurate records and supporting the smooth flow of surgical services. Your attention to detail and ability to build strong working relationships will be key to your success. This is a permanent position working 60 to 80 hours per fortnight, with flexibility required to work shifts Monday - Friday. Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience Experience in Sterile Services, an operating theatre environment, or a similar healthcare setting Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality and patient safety Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with a range of stakeholders Confidence using Microsoft Office and other computer systems A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work varying shift hours Monday to Friday A customer-focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement An understanding of sterile services processes, infection prevention and quality standards is desirable Previous experience in a Loans Coordinator position would be advantageous but is not essential While a Sterile Services Qualification (Level 4) is not required, applicants must be willing to complete the qualification as part of their professional development Ngā mea ka taea e mātou te tuku I a koe | What we can offer you: Competitive Rewards : Attractive remuneration package.
