About the role Kiwi's love to garden and we love to assist them with their gardening needs. We are looking for a new team member that can connect with customers through great customer service, active listening and excellent product knowledge. Your gardening passion may come from time in your own backyard, or you may have undertaken horticultural training – either way you will enjoy helping our customers select the right plants and garden products.Ideally you will be experienced with the sale of both green and dry garden goods, although applicants with a proven retail background and who are eager to learn will be considered. We're looking for someone who: Growing sales by providing exceptional customer service Maintain high merchandising standards & manage stock Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks, including lifting, moving, displaying, and merchandising stock. Work closely & provide assistance in other departments if required Excellent communication skill Takes pride in creating attractive product displays and maintaining a well-presented department Work closely & provide assistance in other departments if required Must be able to work on a roster including a weekend day Previous retail experience and/or knowledge of gardening, plants, landscaping products, garden care, outdoor living, or seasonal merchandise would be highly advantageous. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, customer-focused, and passionate about helping customers create and maintain thriving gardens and outdoor spaces.
