Hobsonville, Auckland|400 hour internship|Full-time Mallinson Made is a small, hands-on engineering consulting team working in the Biotech/Medtech field. We're offering a 400-hour paid internship for a motivated student who’s excited to apply their technical skills to real-world product development. You’ll contribute directly to projects involving early-stage prototyping, testing, and design, gaining valuable experience in a highly specialised area of the Biotech field. You’ll contribute directly to projects involving early-stage prototyping, testing, and design, gaining valuable experience in a highly specialised area of the Biotech field. What You’ll Do: Research new & innovative technologies within the Biotech & microfluidics areas. Apply learnings from research into prototyping new devices. Assemble complex prototypes, that include small and delicate components. Test, analyze and improve upon the prototype devices that you’ll build. What You Need to Apply: Final-year Bachelor of Engineering student (Mechatronics, Biomedical, Electronics or Aerospace) or studying towards a Masters. 3rd year students with prior engineering internship experience also considered. Positive and motivated, with ambition to work on interesting projects that have a meaningful impact on the world. Highly adaptable and comfortable working in ambiguous R&D environment, where project needs are often changing. Able to work autonomously, find innovative ways to solve problems and seek support when needed. Happy working on small & delicate components, in a structured & careful way. Good with your hands and an eye for detail. Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Nice to Have: Previous engineering / technical internship experience highly desirable. Interest in attending work networking & social events. Experience with electronics or PCB prototyping.
