About the role We're looking for an Accountant to join our Blenheim team working across Business Advisory and Tax. You'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, delivery high-quality annual compliance and tax advice while also supporting business advisory work. Key Responsibilities Prepare annual financial statements and income tax returns for a range of entities Deliver tax advisory and support, management reporting and client ready recommendations Manage and grow client relationships - communicate clearly, anticipate needs and deliver on time with attention to detail What we'll offer When you join BDO Blenheim, you'll be part of a team that values development, collaboration and doing the right thing by our clients. Ideally, you'll have: Experience in a NZ public practice environment Proven capability across income tax compliance and a strong working knowledge of NZ tax (including GST and provisional tax) Demonstrated ability to produce accurate, consistent, and high-quality work, with strong attention to detail Excellent relationship and communication skills—comfortable dealing directly with business owners and key decision makers A proactive and collaborative approach, with a genuine passion for supporting clients and colleagues An understanding and be able to use AI support tools. You must be currently in New Zealand and have the right to work permanently to apply.
