Technical Pavement Engineer

ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced Technical Pavement Engineer to join a leading civil infrastructure contractor in Auckland, New Zealand. In this role, you will provide technical support across pavement engineering, asphalt production, and pavement construction. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical advice for pavement, asphalt, and road construction projects. Investigate and resolve pavement and compaction issues. Review asphalt mix designs, pavement materials, and production processes. Work closely with laboratories, clients, consultants, and project teams. Prepare technical reports and recommend practical solutions. Support QA/QC and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. Assist project and production teams with technical guidance and continuous improvement. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 8+ years' experience in pavement engineering, asphalt production, pavement construction, or a related civil infrastructure environment. Strong knowledge of pavement materials, compaction, asphalt mix design, QA/QC, and pavement specifications. Experience working with asphalt plants, testing laboratories, or engineering consultancies. Ability to identify technical problems, investigate root causes, and provide practical solutions. Good communication skills and experience working with clients and stakeholders.
