Aboutthe Role The Registered Nurses on Ward 10 are involved in pre and post-operative care ofthe cardiothoracic patient, acute pain management with chest traumas, and ribfixation surgery. We also are involved in thecare of acute and elective cardiology patients who often require care pre andpost-procedures and education on the management of their heart disease.Youwill be well supported through our Nurse Educator and Clinical NurseSpecialists due to our wide variety of both medical and surgical skill sets. Aboutthe Service Ward10 is a 27-bed ward and is one of our combined medical and surgical wards whichspecialises in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiology. We care for patients whohave undergone either acute or elective cardiothoracic surgery, and cardiologyprocedures. AboutYou Experience in Cardiothoracic or Cardiology is essentialExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCan work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary teamAbility to work under pressureExcellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently complete tasksDemonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with other professionals.The ability to be adaptable, flexible and solution focused.Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC Workingat Health New ZealandHealthNew Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare forthe people of New Zealand.
