The opportunity | Te tūranga Due to an increase in Relationship Property and Elder Law work, Gibson Sheat is seeking a full-time Relationship Property & Life Planning Lawyer to join their team. Whether you are a generalist looking to specialise in relationship property or an experienced relationship property lawyer seeking to join a larger firm, this role provides flexibility and opportunities for growth. Your key focus will be on relationship property matters, including divorce applications, division of relationship property and contracting out agreements. However, you will also be involved in other life planning work and you may have the opportunity to work on contentious matters if desired, ensuring no two days will be the same. With offices in Wellington, Lower Hutt and Masterton, Gibson Sheat offers flexibility regarding your preferred location. What you will bring | Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu Two to ten years of legal experience in relationship property (more experienced candidates will be considered). Exceptional people skills, including empathy and emotional intelligence. The ability to distil complex concepts into plain English. Initiative, curiosity and a strong work ethic.
