About the Role - Tēnei tūranga: As an Authority Officer you will provide quality case management, administration, and operational support to the Employment Relations Authority (ERA) members to assist them to carry out their functions efficiently and effectively. We are seeking someone who can hit the ground running and bring maturity of judgement to support and guide team members. You will have a key role in ensuring that files are actively managed, that parties are dealt with respectfully and that members of the ERA are provided with the case management support that they need to progress matters to a determination. Key tasks of the role: Providing administrative support to Authority Members including diary and case management. Building strong working relationships and effective communications with the Authority Members, our clients and team members. Proofreading and checking simple calculations. Strong administration skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and organise your work. Strong IT skills in particular Microsoft products, working with databases, proficient in calendar management. Experience in managing a large case or file load both electronic and hardcopy. Ability to react and respond to changing priorities and deadlines. Attention to detail and can follow instructions effectively. A high standard of written and oral communication skills. You must have the legal right to live and work in New Zealand.
