This isa permanent0.9FTE role (9days per fortnight. 6 days per fortnight in South Canterbury and 3 days perfortnight delivering services via video conference). Pay rates for our Registered Nurses are between$66,222per annum($33.51per hour) to$94,842perannum($48.00 perhour) depending on experience. Plunket Nurses assessthegrowth and developmentoftamarikiand aretrustedclinicaladvisors who walkalongside whānau. You will meet with whānau across South Canterbury doing homeand clinic visits and you will deliver some care by video conference across TeWaipounamu. You will foster trusting relationships in the community by adoptingan approach to care wherewhānau feelconnected, included,safeandsupported to get what they need.Working alongside ahighly motivated and experienced teamyou'llbe committed todelivering engaging care where whānau have a safe space to share parentingchallenges and celebrate successes. Working in the community duringacost-of-livingcrisis means you will undoubtedly meet whānau whoare facing significant challenges. Our clinical responsibilities co-exist withthe need to deliver social support to ensurepēpiare being raised insafe and healthy homes.Weoffer6–12-weekorientationdepending on experiencewithongoing preceptor support to help you find your feet. Community Nursingrequiresa particular set ofskills, you may start the day with 5 whānau booked in for visits, one mightneed to cancel, another might be late, and the last appointment might presentsignificant concerns and take longer thananticipated. So, you will needto beresourceful,resilientand comfortable making decisions toensure wemaintainahigh-qualityexperience and minimiserisks for our clients. We are confident we can give you great support with ourexperienced team - so we are open to both new graduates and experienced nurses. It is vital that you enjoy working withpēpi,howevermost ofyour interactions will be withcaregivers.Todeliver the right support,you'llneed tohave exceptional active listeningskillsandbe able to askquestions tactfully. Working with whānau from allwalks of lifewillrequire you to beabletobuild trust and communicateeffectively with different people. With a stable team and experienced leader, we're well placedto support you if this is your first nursing role, but equally, if you are anexperienced nurse, your insight and expertise will go a long way to supportingwhānau to thrive and our team to grow collectively.
