Are you a detail-focused HR Analyst who enjoys working with data, creating meaningful reports, and supporting better business decisions? We're looking for a proactive and self-motivated analyst to join a high-performing HR Reporting and Analytics team, where you'll play a key role in delivering workforce insights, reporting, and data-driven support to leaders across the organisation. Mō te tūnga | About the role Develop your analytics career in a role that offers real variety. From workforce reporting and Power BI dashboards to stakeholder engagement, inbox management, ad hoc analysis, no two days are the same. You'll have the opportunity to build your expertise in HR analytics while making a tangible impact on how workforce decisions are made across the organisation This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with HR data, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can balance regular reporting with ad hoc requests. You'll be responsible for processing and analysing workforce information, maintaining reporting dashboards, monitoring and responding to a shared inbox, and supporting stakeholders with timely, accurate data outputs. You'll also work across HR systems and processes, identifying opportunities to improve data quality, reporting capability, and user experience Hybrid working arrangements – office based in Wellington with flexible WFH options. Currently two days in the office, Tuesdays and Thursdays, with the ability to come in additional days for business requirements. Key requirements of the role include: Experience working within an HR, workforce, people analytics, or reporting environment. Knowledge of HRIS/HRMS systems, with experience working in a SAP SuccessFactors environment highly regarded. Strong Excel capability, with the ability to manipulate, combine, cleanse, and analyse data. Experience producing both scheduled and ad hoc reporting to support business needs. Confidence monitoring and managing a team inbox, responding to requests, and prioritising competing demands. A strong understanding of HR processes and workforce data, with the ability to work accurately with large volumes of repetitive information. Excellent attention to detail and a focus on data quality and accuracy. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to explain data in a clear and practical way. A self-starter mindset, able to take ownership, work independently, and proactively identify improvements to systems and processes. Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples’ culture Nōu te rourou | What's in it for you Oranga Tamariki offer a step-based remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure. Annual remuneration for this position starts between $77,886 and $86,082 dependent on experience.
