Help Shape How Risk Decisions Are Made Across IAG. This is more than a traditional risk role. As a Specialist, Risk Enablement, you'll work at the intersection of insight, influence and improvement, helping business leaders understand emerging risks, make better decisions and strengthen risk capability across the organisation. You'll turn complex risk information into meaningful insights, identify patterns and opportunities others may miss, and partner with stakeholders to improve how risk works in practice. From supporting critical risk decisions to driving capability uplift and continuous improvement, your work will have visibility and impact across the business. This role offers a unique opportunity to build deep organisational understanding, influence decisions across a broad range of business areas, and contribute directly to strengthening risk culture and capability across IAG. You'll work with experienced risk professionals, gain exposure to senior stakeholders and play a meaningful role in shaping how risk supports better business outcomes. This is a permanent full-time role based in multiple locations across Aotearoa New Zealand. Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do Partner with leaders and teams to build confidence and capability in how risk is understood, managed and improved. Turn complex risk data into meaningful insights, identifying emerging risks, trends and opportunities that influence decision making. Apply professional judgement to assess and triage risk events and issues, helping focus attention where it matters most. Identify patterns and systemic themes across the organisation, connecting the dots to drive practical improvements. Improve the quality and value of risk information by strengthening data integrity, consistency and reporting. Lead and contribute to initiatives that simplify processes, enhance ways of working, uplift our culture and improve the overall risk management experience. Ōu Pūkenga me ōu Wheako | What You'll Bring 5+ years' experience working in risk, assurance, governance, compliance or a related field, with a sound understanding of risk and control frameworks. Strong reporting and data capabilities, including analysis, visualisation and maintaining high-quality information to support decision making. A strategic and curious mindset, with the ability to identify themes, ask insightful questions and connect the dots across information sources. Strong judgement and problem-solving skills, with confidence navigating complex risk matters and influencing better outcomes. Excellent relationship-building skills and a track record of providing practical, trusted advice to stakeholders. Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, law or a related discipline. Professional risk, assurance or insurance qualifications will be highly regarded.
