Senior Actuarial Pricing Analyst

Job Description The opportunity Product and Pricing is a small, high-trust team, which means your work goes straight into pricing decisions, not into a queue. You'll be doing VNB and profitability calculations that actually get used, with real scope to shape methodology rather than just execute it. We’re actively investing in automation, the ambition here isn't to keep pace with the market - it's to be the benchmark other insurers get compared against. What You’ll Own Own complex actuarial analysis and projects from assumption-setting through to final numbers - not just running the model, but standing behind it Develop, review and enhance the pricing models and methodologies the business actually prices off Calculate pricing across Chubb's products, weighing fair customer outcomes against sustainable margin - it's a balance, not a formula Run VNB and product profitability on a regular cycle, so the business always knows what's actually making money Sit at the table with Product, Finance, Risk and IT and make the actuarial story land. Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities Qualifications What you’ll bring Qualified or nearly qualified actuary (FIAA/FNZSA or equivalent) 3+ years pricing experience in life insurance or financial services Demonstrated expertise in pricing and product development Proficiency in relevant actuarial modelling software - Prophet, MoSes, R, Python or Excel Proven ability to communicate complex actuarial concepts to non-technical stakeholders Location: Wellington or Auckland (Takapuna) Role Type Full time, Permanent Work Style Hybrid Why join us Join a business with ambition, energy, and a clear direction Grow your career in an environment where contribution is recognised and strong performance matters We also know great outcomes come from different perspectives.
